COVID-19 Temporary Closure Information

As the UK implements further measures to tackle COVID-19, and in order to prioritise the safety of employees, customers and the wider community our business will close down temporarily. Our last day of operation will be Wednesday, 25th March. This shutdown will be in effect until Monday, 27th April or until government guidance is revised.

We would like to thank you for your support over recent years and your continued support during these challenging times. As with many thousands of businesses across the UK, it is with the safety and wellbeing of our staff, their families and the wider community in mind that we have temporarily closed our business.

We are a hard working and resilient business and we will be back as soon as circumstances allow. But for now, there are simply more important matters facing us all and this is where our focus must be.

We have remote access to our systems and subject to supply chain capacity, some product lines to some customers may be maintained.

Our incoming phone lines will not be attended, but we will endeavour to reply to enquiries made via email to sales@safetybuyer.com (as this is not business as usual, please allow some extra time for us to get back to you).

The following information regarding delivery is suspended due to the temporary business closure. Any orders placed during the closure will be processed on our re-opening or refunded in full.

The majority of our products will be despatched on the same day you place your order for delivery the next working day! 

Delivery information is always included next to our prices on every page for clarity.

Orders placed in the evening, over weekends and public holidays will be processed on the next working day.

We charge a flat rate of £6.95 + VAT on all orders to cover packing, delivery & insurance of your order to most UK Mainland addresses.

Our delivery charge for Northern Ireland (BT Postcodes) is £14.95 + VAT, for the vast majority of orders. However, bulky or palletised orders such as storage cabinets and speed ramps (for example) will cost more, so please contact us for a quotation.

Scottish Highlands & Offshore including IV, AB, KW, DD, PH & ZE Postcodes, Channel Islands and IOM will normally be subject to a surcharge. Please contact us for a quotation before placing your order from these locations.

For some larger, palletised goods we may sometimes need to ask you for some pre-delivery information to ensure the delivery goes smoothly - this is an example of the pre-delivery checklist you may be asked to complete before we can schedule your order for delivery. Please respond to these requests as soon as you can, thank you.

Please contact us before placing your order if you have any queries regarding our delivery information. 

You will receive email alerts from us as your order progresses. These will include but not be limited to the following status updates;

  1. An order confirmation advising you that we have received your order and successfully taken payment
  2. Order despatch / delivery notification(s)

Our shipping policy is set at ‘product level’. This means for example, if your order includes stocked items along with a bulky item that we will ship directly from a supplier warehouse, you will receive 2 deliveries. You won't be charged for 2 deliveries and this is an efficient way for us to work. 

Same day delivery and other timed deliveries are available by arrangement. We've got faith in our systems but if you're ordering something that just has to be there then please let us know and we'll add the belts and braces.
