SafetyBuyer was founded in 2012 by brothers Ian and Kevin Rowe, a pair of safety supply industry veterans who have spent a combined 40 years of their professional lives in warehouses, sales and marketing, production and purchasing. Taking a cue from some of the inspirational pros they’d worked with in the past, they decided to set up a safety supplies company of their own.
After investing more than 3,000 hours into building the site over a painstaking 18-month period, safetybuyer.com launched in July 2013. Almost immediately, we received our first small order for a batch of safety signs, and we were up and running.
Flash forward to now, and we’ve now done business with more than 30,000 customers, from small businesses to nationwide conglomerates. Our growth has remained healthy and hard-earned since 2013, but we’ve never forgotten where we came from - we still receive monthly orders from our very first customer, and that’s something we really value.
We understand that we’re far from the only company supplying the workplace safety market, but what marks us out from the rest is our ongoing commitment to providing you with a flexible, reactive and personalised service - which means listening carefully to what our customers are telling us.
