SafetyBuyer was founded in 2012 by brothers Ian and Kevin Rowe, a pair of safety supply industry veterans who have spent a combined 40 years of their professional lives in warehouses, sales and marketing, production and purchasing. Taking a cue from some of the inspirational pros they’d worked with in the past, they decided to set up a safety supplies company of their own.
After investing more than 3,000 hours into building the site over a challenging 18-month period, safetybuyer.com launched in July 2013. Almost immediately, we received our first small order for a batch of safety signs - we were up and running.
Flash forward - we’ve now done business with more than 30,000 customers, from small businesses to nationwide conglomerates. Our growth has remained healthy and hard-earned since 2013, but we’ve never forgotten where we came from - we still receive monthly orders from our very first customer, and that’s something we really value.
